It may sound cliche to celebrate the “new year, new me” mentality and while I can agree that it can be a bit of a scapegoat, I am so excited for this new year and what I’m working towards in it! I’m so excited to say Hello 2018!
2017 wasn’t a bad year, but it wasn’t amazing and that’s what I plan on making this year! I want to really work on myself, on making positive changes and working towards my own future.
Writing is such an amazing outlet for me and is really the best way for me to stay focused and to appreciate what I have. While I love blogging and using this platform, there are things that I keep for myself which is why I’ve decided to start journaling this year. It’s an amazing way to reflect and to focus on what I am doing and what I need to do to be where I want to do. It’s a great way to keep things in perspective and to stay motivated.
So, I have a bit of a committed relationship to pizza. Committed in the sense that I’m obsessed and can’t get enough. And while the happiness that comes with answering the door to a delicious Dominos pizza, it doesn’t always result in my body being happy, especially given then fact that I’m lactose-intolerant. Oops! So for this year I’ve decided I really want to focus on what I’ve been putting into my body (too much pizza, too many glasses of wine) and what should be going into my body. I’ve also started working out and am enjoying it so much. I’m joining the gym and want to start working out several times a week. It’s the honest truth when people say feeling good physically helps you feel good mentally.
I want 2018 to be a year where I really focus on me. I want to work on advancing my career and working on and creating things that I love and am passionate about. Part of that is creating things that I love, which starts with my blog. I’ve had this blog for years and I’ve never really put the work into it that it deserves. I want that to change in 2018. I’m also going to start working on some side hustles that I’ve been brainstorming for some time…but that will all be revealed in later months!
Overall, I just want 2018 to really be a great year. I want to look back on December 31st, 2018 and be able to say that I completed everything I set out to do, that I’m proud of the work that I’ve accomplished. Stay tuned for all the new things I have in store!
